This month’s dispatch from Karma Group Founder & Chairman John Spence comes to you from the snowclad mountains of the Bavarian Alps – but our first port of call is a few thousand miles east in northeast Kerala, home to Karma Group’s newest resort and one of India’s most biodiverse regions. Set among spice gardens and tea plantations, with elephants, tigers and leopards in the surrounding forests, the 40-unit riverside retreat will feature multiple restaurants, pools and flowing water at its heart. Opening is slated for April 2026.
From India to northern France: John was recently in Rouen, where Karma Group’s Normandy resort is nearing completion after a major renovation. With its extraordinary history, Gothic cathedral and easy access to the wider region, it’s set to reopen very soon.
John also shares encouraging updates on several resorts that were put on hold during Covid, including the much loved Karma Reef in the Gili Islands, which is expected to be up and running again soon.
Just as important as expansion though, is receptivity. As Karma Group grows, understanding what our Members want is key – and there’ll soon be simple avenues for you to give feedback on future destination options and experiences via questionnaire and increasingly the Karma Subito app – the primary portal for bookings, feedback, special offers and all things Karma Group. Karma Curated experiences continue to grow too – John’s goal is to have at least 300 Curated experiences each and every year.
