On 08 September 2026, the school day was just ending in Ungasan when staff from Karma Royal Jimbaran arrived at Bali Life Foundation with several Members in tow, arms full of stationery and other supplies for the children filing home.
It made for a fitting scene: a chance encounter with a street child in Kuta back in 2005 grew into the home that now shelters 48 children from across the Indonesian archipelago, alongside programmes for street children and disadvantaged women, and Karma Group has stood behind it for well over a decade.
We funded the completion of that children’s home in 2012, and our support has run to more than $70,000 since, plus regular donations and Christmas gifts for the children living there each year. But it is visits like these that remind us what the relationship is all about.
It was a truly lovely, meaningful afternoon, and we were delighted by our Members’ enthusiasm and generosity, adding to a friendship that already sees the foundation’s children visit Karma’s Bali resorts and beach club throughout the year.
